It’s a second homecoming of sorts tonight for Myles Kennedy, the frontman of Orlando-based Creed 2.0 rockers Alter Bridge, but of course the spotlight falls squarely on the famously shaggy mane of Kennedy’s guitarist, Slash. Along with the Conspirators, the two crank out polished post-grunge built to highlight Slash’s soon-to-be Hall of Fame fret work, and that’s fine. But is it weird that what we really want is for the top-hatted virtuoso to pay more attention to his flamenco muse, as heard on the 1998 compilation Gypsy Soul?
