Keith Tenniswood and Andrew Weatherall's Two Lone Swordsmen project continues to be what it's always been: an outlet for the DJs' more eccentric ideas. On From the Double Gone Chapel, they hit an unexplored cache of Me-Generation musicology where The Cure, The Clash and last year's most mimicked band, Liquid Liquid, all used to share stage time. Double Gone Chapel is at times a minimal disco album that drags gothic drama into the club and then stalks off like an industrial debutante. Coming from two guys that could make millions spinning vintage rave tunes, it's a surprisingly creative bend in an already impressive oeuvre.
