Every now and again, there’s an event special enough to make the grass look a little greener over in Tampa, and this week offers a perfect example: The good people of New Granada have imported New York avant-garde folk band Ida for their only date anywhere in the Southeast. The concert will happen at Watermark Church, which only intrigues us further about the unique experience the night has in store. It’s a family-friendly event, too – no smoking and no alcohol – and the musicians in Ida will also present their Grammy-nominated children’s show to those included in the intimate gathering. It just sounds so charming: a limited listening party to the soothing arrangements of Ida, live in an unexpected setting. We have a good feeling that if you resist the urge to document the night on social media, the quiet impact of the show will endure as a lasting mental image. – Ashley Belanger
