Orlando is grateful to be home to a number of knockout female vocalists, like Kaleigh Baker, Terri Binion, Tierney Tough and listed high among this talented group of our town's most memorable voices is Alexandrah Sarton. She sings the hooks for Solillaquists of Sound, which is likely where most of us were first exposed to her soft, bold delivery. Then she launched Beautiful Chorus in support of a short-lived collaboration with now L.A.-based Sean Kantrowitz called In Curses. Now Beautiful Chorus stands on its own, embarking on an East Coast tour starting Aug. 23.

But apart from all this success and continual songwriting, Sarton seems to have even more music in the wings, but no tools to write her songs with. So she launched a Kickstarter to fund a new laptop, and she is halfway to her $1,500 goal. Fans can donate to the local songbird up until Monday, Sept. 8, and there's a rough cut of the album on Sarton's solo Bandcamp (skip straight to "Miss You" for an immediate understanding of what we'd miss out on) and streaming below:

And speaking of Terri Binion, she'll be joining a special show at Timucua White House on Sept. 14 with Alexandrah Love & a Beautiful Chorus and DiVinci. (RSVP)
