Early Saturday morning, Orlando musician Ralph Ameduri Jr., 45, substituting on bass for Thomas Wynn & the Believers for a gig at Jessie’s Bar in Winter Haven, was shot and killed by a man attempting to rob the band. The versatile bassist and guitarist, who played for local acts like Legendary JC’s and the Rondos, was remembered lovingly on message boards, Facebook and Twitter this weekend.

Dave Scott, a bandmate of Ameduri’s in the Rondos, provided us these photos and gave this statement: “With his impish grin like a curious child and his never-ending fascination with music, food and life, Ralph touched the hearts of all who knew him. We have all been ‘Ralphed,’ as his friends would say. He’ll be impossible to forget.”
