Rep. Kamia L. Brown has officially won the Florida House District 45 seat.  Brown, a Democrat, ran unopposed this year.

In 2016 Brown, a former legislative aide to state Rep. Victor Torres, beat out four Democratic challengers in the primary to take the District in a race with no Republican candidates. District 45 covers parts of west Orange County including Pine Hills, Apopka and Ocoee, with a majority Black population and an overwhelming Democratic base.
