A new pan-Asian concept will make its debut at the Pointe Orlando mall this week.

Owned by Orlando restaurateur Karim El Sherif, Lotus Asia House will host a preview to the public this Friday, Feb. 8, with a limited menu, in the space formerly occupied by RA Sushi.

Spearheaded by chef Jesse Beardshear, who was previously at Seito Sushi on Sand Lake and also served as a chef for the San Francisco 49ers, the menu at Lotus consists of a blend of Chinese, Thai and Vietnamese cuisine. The restaurant also offers an indoor-outdoor sushi bar.

Lotus Asia House celebrates an official grand-opening with a full menu Thursday, Feb. 21.
