Central Florida Community Arts has announced a return to live and in-person performances with three seasonal events closing out a challenging year for the arts in general.

CFCArts will be throwing a couple of big outdoor shows to mark both Halloween and the Christmas season in festive style.

On (the big day) Saturday, Oct. 31, the CFCArts Symphony Orchestra presents This Is Halloween at Mead Botanical Garden. It's a daytime show promising the "greatest hits" of Halloween, so "Monster Mash" better get an airing. Tickets are on sale now and the show is at 3 p.m. (Mead's a great spot for music, but I don't need to tell you something you already know.)

Then on Friday, Dec. 4, the CFCArts Children & Youth Arts Programs are staging an updated take on a holiday chestnut with A Christmas Carol: The Musical at Calvary Orlando in Winter Park.

And finally, on Saturday, Dec. 12, the CFCArts Community Choir are going forward with their annual holiday music revue, A Holiday Fantasia, at Mead Garden as well. Expect an abundance of hymns and carols.

Tickets for both of the December shows go on sale on Friday, Oct. 16.
