Hardcore man-of-letters Henry Rollins returns to Central Florida this week with his Travel Slideshow. During Rollins’ extensive travels and decades’ worth of performances he documented his experiences, and he brings his vast collection of photos to share the stories and anecdotes behind them with his trademark eye for (ahem) detail, introspection, opinion and, most of all, humor. Based on the previews and snippets of the Travel Slideshow, Rollins has built upon what he started many years ago with his hard-edged brand of spoken word. He’s now transcended his Black Flag roots and is on par with storytellers and humorists like Mark Twain, Dick Gregory and George Carlin. His travelogue takes you from the Plaza to Timbuktu, Tibet and all seven continents, including Antarctica – now that’s punk rock! As Rollins puts it, “It’s like an adventure film, but one frame at a time.”
