Vice President Joe Biden's talking tour kicks off the week at the Dr. Phillips Center

Sorry, Mike Pence. We’re gonna let you finish (are we?), but Joe Biden is the greatest Veep of all – well, the past 10 years anyway. The veteran senator from Delaware was a breath of fresh air when he took over the spot in 2009, showing more likability than Dick Cheney, more personality than Al Gore and more smarts than Dan Quayle. Even President Barack Obama fell under his charm, and the two became bros-for-life during Biden’s tenure in the Naval Observatory. And while “Diamond Joe” sat out the 2016 election, we can’t help but wonder if this talking tour – ostensibly to promote his new memoir, Promise Me, Dad: A Year of Hope, Hardship and Purpose (Flatiron Books) – is testing the waters for a run at the White House in 2020. In the words of Biden himself, “This is a big fucking deal.”
