Riverdance returns to the stage at the Dr. Phillips Center

The pitter-patter of little Irish feet caused a sensation back in the 1990s when Riverdance, a high-concept Irish step dancing revue, became an international hit after premiering during the 1994 Eurovision competition. The PBS staple was credited with packing previously barren step dancing classes, and launching the career of Chicago-born dancer Michael Flatley, the original star of the show. This 20th anniversary tour (don’t look too closely at their math) comes to the U.S. after selling out across Europe and Asia, proving that the odd pleasure of watching dozens of people hopping up and down in unison is a cultural constant.
