Sir Patrick Stewart, the man of a thousand memes, is coming to Orlando not just to geek out with the Trekkies at MegaCon but also to hang around the types of folks who buy shirts emblazoned “Shakespeare is my homeboy.” The consummate Shakespearean actor has conquered more than 50 of the prolific playwright’s masterpieces (in addition to proving man’s ability to sacrifice their lives for the greater good), and Orlando Shakes will be illuminating all of those experiences in an evening presentation and discussion that they liken to an episode of Inside the Actors Studio. Playing James Lipton for the night will be OST artistic director Jim Helsinger, who has acted and directed in his fair share of Shakes, too. Sounds like a theatercraft-nerd’s dream, but expect to see a Picardian facepalm if you break out a camera to document his charming brilliance, as photography at this event is forbidden. – Ashley Belanger
