Goodbye to Chuck Dinkins

Yet another position has been axed due to shrinking budgets: Chuck Dinkins, the facilities director at the Downtown Arts District-funded CityArts Factory. Below is the e-mail he just sent out. And to use a line from "Lonesome Dove" to describe his tenure, Chuck was "cheerful in all weathers. Never shirked a task. Splendid behavior." Best wishes, Chuck.

I regret to inform you as of Friday July 10, I will no longer be employed by the CityARtS Factory. Due to budgeting short falls with the DAD they have been forced to eliminate my position. I plan to continue my support and advocacy of the Orlando Arts Scene and promise to let you know where I land. My new email is [email protected].

Cheers, Chuck
