Yesterday Real Radio 104.1 FM announced that radio personalities Daniel Dennis and Tom  Vann will be returning to Real Radio.

Starting July 9, every Wednesday immediately following the Phillips Phile, the former Monsters in the Morning cast members will be back on the air at 104.1 FM. Dennis left the show in December 2012, after a contentious shakeup at Real Radio that saw him ousted over what he said was a contract dispute (During that time period, SBK Live was also cancelled and a handful of other Real Radio staffers were also let go). Tom Vann, American (known as Drunky the Bear on the Monsters) left a year later, in December 2013.

The two continued to entertain listeners via their popular podcast, A Mediocre Time With Tom and Dan, which they've been putting on from a home studio since 2009. The podcast, which airs for free on Friday afternoons at 2 p.m. via UStream (it also offers two paid episodes per week, which they call the Big Dick Millionaire episodes, for $2.95 per month), won Best Local Radio Show in our 2013 Best of Orlando Readers Poll.

Now, from 7-8 p.m. on Wednesday nights (and replayed on Saturdays mornings at 10 a.m.), they'll be back on terrestrial radio with A Corporate Time With Tom and Dan. The show will be recorded in the Mediocre studios.

Tom and Dan say the podcast will continue to be their priority, but Daniel Dennis (who, by the way, was one of our celebrity contestants in our Bite Night Orlando chef challenge) says he's looking forward to exposing the show to a new (old?) audience. "We're excited to stamp a little more brand awareness on 'A Mediocre Time with Tom and Dan,'" he says. "Most people that listen to Real Radio have never really been told that we've been doing our own podcast. It's exciting to finally shed a bit of light on that."
