Rising Walt Disney World ticket prices, 1971-2013

This week, Walt Disney World announced that the price of a ticket to the Magic Kingdom had risen to $95 – a pretty steep jump, considering the cost of visiting the Magic Kingdom was roughly half that just a decade ago. We put together the chart below to show the rising cost of a single day, general admission adult ticket to Disney’s Magic Kingdom from the park’s opening date in 1971 to the present. All prices are approximate, and we tip our hats to allears.net, which has a comprehensive and detailed list of Disney ticket prices dating back to the park's opening day. Check out their detailed historical chart of price increases here.
