An Illinois gun shop owner is raising money for Pulse victims by raffling off an assault rifle.
According to
ABC News,
Second Amendment Sports in McHenry, Illinois, is selling raffle tickets for $5 to win an AR-15 rifle, which is similar to the semi-automatic weapon Omar Mateen used to murder 49 people and injure 53 people at the Pulse nightclub.
"We wanted to do something for the loss of lives and injuries that happened to people in Orlando," store owner Bert Irslinger Jr. told the
Chicago Tribune.
Second Amendment Sports says the proceeds, plus its own donations of $2,000 will go to the
OneOrlando fund.
The winner of the raffle will be announced on July 31.
