One thing’s for sure: You don’t have to be an experienced sommelier or craft beer snob to enjoy this annual imbibing occasion. Look at it more as a chance to spend an afternoon outdoors while sipping on something good – whether that’s red, white, bubbly, tequila or whatever’s your fancy. And this year’s new Downtown Pour location lands you smack dab in the heart of Thornton Park along Washington Street, where the Falcon and Burton’s meet WildSide and Graffiti Junktion. But don’t expect those watering holes to be the only ones pouring, as dozens of wine, craft beer and liquor purveyors set up tents street-side to serve their boozy selections. If it’s anything like last year, one minute you’ll be exercising the “Four S’s” of wine tasting (seeing, swirling, smelling, sipping), and the next you’ll be rocking a pair of bright-orange, post-shot Aperol sunglasses. Trust us, we know from experience. – Aimee Vitek
