So, you wanna help out the kids and score some free beer in the process? On Sunday, June 22 at the Lake Eola Farmer's Market, if you bring two cans of food, Earth's Best Beverages will give you one Orlando Brewing Company beer. And they'll be giving you the good stuff, too: one of the Orlando Brewing's most popular beers, the Organic Red Ale. So be sure to bring the good canned stuff too. None of that sauerkraut you've had hanging out in your cabinet for months.
The canned goods that you exchange for your OBC brew will help support an effort to feed kids who are out of school for the summer, missing out on school lunches which, for some schoolchildren, is the most well-rounded, if not main, meal of their day. Once collected the cans of food will be donated to Killarney Elementary School, where they will be used to provide free meals to out-of-school kids.
