Epcot's major overhaul is still years away from being finished, but one of the first major additions will be the Ratatouille ride and France pavilion expansion.

Permits for this area previously confirmed a crepe stand will be included, but no details regarding this new stand were officially shared by Disney at that time.

Disney has now released new artwork and details regarding this new authentic crêperie. When the rumor was first reported on here last June, it looked like the crepe stand would be in a small walk-up stand located under some umbrellas.

Since then the plans have been updated to include a brand-new building in an area not previously featured in the artwork. Located in this new building, the crêperie will be overseen by famed chef Jérôme Bocuse, who also is in charge of other dining options with the France pavilion, including Monsieur Paul, which is named after his celebrity chef father. It will feature the previously rumored walk-up, to-go counter but will now also include a sit-down crepe restaurant.

Drawing inspiration from the Brittany region of France, the crepe restaurant will serve both sweet and savory crepes.

The yet-to-be-named crêperie is just one of three confirmed new restaurants headed to Epcot. A space-themed restaurant is coming to the Mission: Space pavilion in Future World along with another new restaurant in the Japan pavilion.

All of this is part of a larger update to that park that will also include major new updates to the park’s entrance, a Guardians of the Galaxy-themed coaster, new films in the Canada, China, and the Land pavilions, and a brand-new Play pavilion in Future World East. All of those projects have already been confirmed, but there are also numerous other rumored projects that will be part of this multi-year reimagining of the park.

The new crepe restaurant, a Beauty and the Beast sing-along and the Ratatouille ride are all opening in the France pavilion ahead of WDW's 50th Anniversary celebration in 2021.
