Vintage photos of Daytona Bike Week and its badass bikers through the years

As this year's Daytona Bike Week flies by us, we're looking back on all the tricked-out bikes and bikers that make the event the Florida staple it is.

The 10-day bike event and rally, which got its start nearly 90 years ago, draws hundreds of thousands of people to Daytona Beach every March for motorcycle racing, concerts and street parties. And despite its actual deadly record,  Bike Week ride-or-dies never fail to show out.

These photographs, from Florida State Archives, range from circa 1962 through the early 2000s. If that tells you one thing, it's that times may change but leather and jorts are forever.
