Gov. Ron DeSantis kicked off LGBTQ Pride Month on Tuesday in prime bigoted fashion by signing a bill barring young transgender athletes from participating in school athletics. So Orlando activists will be marking the day as well, with a #ProtectTransKids rally at City Hall on Tuesday night, June 1. (That's tonight!)

At Orlando City Hall on Orange Avenue downtown, a coalition of activist groups — including Equality Florida, Florida Planned Parenthood Action, One Orlando Alliance, Rainbow Democrats and many more — will host a public protest at City Hall at 6 p.m. to protest the signing of the hateful SB 1028 (and the garbage timing of the signing) by the governor.

The #ProtectTransKids rally is set to last until 7:30 p.m. tonight in front of City Hall outside. The event is open to all but masks are required.
