Photos: UCF students, organizers rally in protest of Israel's occupation of Gaza

University of Central Florida students and other organizations joined forces early Friday afternoon to rally in protest of Israel's occupation of Gaza near the UCF Reflecting Pond.

Student organizations in attendance were UCF Young Democratic Socialists of America, UCF Students for a Democratic Society, the NAACP, Pakistani Student Association and Florida Student Power Network.

UCF has not released a comment about the event.

The rally took place just one day after the University of Florida threatened pro-Palestinian student demonstrators with suspension and banishment from campus for three years if they violate a host of rules of behavior over protests that continued for two days.

Last week, during an appearance by President Biden in Tampa to discuss Florida's looming abortion ban, a pro-Palestinian contingent held a "No genocide Joe" demonstration nearby to protest the billions of dollars in military aid that the U.S. has sent to Israel amid the conflict.
