Orlandoans held a vigil at Pulse in solidarity with victims of Colorado Club Q shooting

Orlandoans gathered at the Pulse nightclub site on a rainy, cold Sunday afternoon for a vigil held in solidarity with the victims of the Club Q shooting in Colorado over the weekend. Representatives from the Contigo Fund, One Orlando Alliance and others spoke, and the Orlando Gay Chorus performed in the course of the gathering.

Orlando Weekly spoke to Marco Antonio Quiroga of the Contigo Fund, who is in touch with activists in Colorado Springs, about where to send donations to those impacted by the shooting. Quiroga suggested the Colorado Healing Fund.

Quiroga explained that the Colorado Healing Fund provides a single, secure point for donations to support the victims of this tragedy. And donations go directly to victims and their families to provide immediate and long-term support across a broad range of needs. Donations will be distributed to victims and their families through Colorado Healing Fund’s on-the-ground community partners, including the Colorado Organization of Victim Assistance.
