Former gay resort, castle Mystic Lake Manor hits the market for $750K

For the first time in 24 years, a former men-only, gay castle is now for sale in Florida.

Located at 2398 W U.S. Hwy-90, in Madison, the 6,334-square-foot castle home is locally known as Mystic Lake Manor.

Originally constructed in 1995 by the late Tallahassee-based restaurant supply businessman Joe Nahoom, and his wife Joyce,  the estate was meant to be a family home, but it was sold a few years later to the current owners, who, for many years, used the castle as a popular gay, clothing optional, weekend retreat.

"Unfortunately, one of the owners recently passed away, and so it hasn’t been a resort in a few years," listing agent Jessica Webb, of Main Street Realty, told Creative Loafing Tampa Bay.  "But it’s such an interesting property... Personally, I think it would make a great wedding venue."

Now Mystic Lake Manor is ready for a new king or queen.

The estate comes with a total of six bedrooms and six bathrooms, as well as an indoor heated pool, two Jacuzzis, several indoor fountains, a game room, and more.

The current asking price is $750,000.
