Florida's Bird Island, a 50-acre island only accessible by boat or seaplane, is back on the market

A giant, secluded Florida island is once again up for grabs.

Bird Island, located at 6001 Bird Island Drive, is a 51-acre remote island in the middle of Lake Griffin, which is is part of the Harris Chain of Lakes, just outside The Villages.

Other than total seclusion, the island itself doesn't offer much. But it does come with a 1,120-square-foot main house, which features two bedrooms and one bathroom, as well as a wrap-around porch and vaulted ceilings. It also comes with a dock, its own electricity and water supply, and everything you see in the photos below.

Arguably the main draw here is that the whole island is already zoned for three much larger estates, so building your giant wilderness lodge won't be a problem.

Plus, the island has been on and off the market for the past couple of years, with an asking price as high as $6.7 million back in 2019. The island is now listed for an asking price of $2 million.

The listing agents are Stacey Vazquez and Daniel Sponaugle of Keller Williams.
