Brutalist lakefront Orlando home hits the market for $900K

Few things are more divisive than a slab of blank concrete.

The brutalist movement in architecture has its defenders and (much more vocal) detractors all over the internet, but its rare to see an example in the maximalist bent of Orlando's sprawl.

The home at 1017 E Kaley Street is built for its occupants, with just a blank grey face showing to the road. The interior is much more lush, with balconies overhanging a warm living room and three stories of windows offering a view of the lake to the house's rear.

Outside of lake access, the rooftop deck offers views of downtown Orlando to the north. The Lancaster Park home across the street from Boone High School and just up the road from Kelly's Homemade Ice Cream is asking $899,000. The listing is represented by Milton James of Re/Max.
