Right now, if your credit isn't too shabby, you can get a home mortgage for as low as 3% down for up to $417k, meaning if you want to pull the trigger on a $200k home, all you need is $6,000 up front. Considering the midpoint average rent in Orlando is $1,000, owning your own place with a monthly mortgage at around the same price doesn't sound too bad at all.

Here are a few of the better Orlando area homes currently on the market for $250k or less.
