You might not know the name Robert Lewin but you definitely have heard his work. The chiropractor behind the referral service 1-800-411-PAIN littered Florida airwaves for years with unshakeable and station-genre-specific jingles
The second-most important fact about Lewin is the fact that he's an identical twin. Once he came into his fortune, he built a pair of dueling mansions for his family and his brother's family to live in. Their Ft. Lauderdale homes
look at each other from across a stocked fish pond.
“Being twins, we’ve always been so close, so it didn’t feel right not living close to one another,” Lewin explained to the Wall Street Journal.
The brothers are ready to move on from their dueling mansions, however, as their children are leaving home. Lewin told the WSJ
that they might consider moving from their current, separate quarters to a single address, joking that they'd reattach their umbilical cord. That means their unique compound of face-to-face mansions is on the market.
Unlike the Lewins, the homes are fraternal. Both homes are huge with one coming in at 16,980 square feet and the other measuring 14,484 square feet. They both boast outdoor pools. The Lewins are asking for $54 million for both homes.
