Polls will be open across the city from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Election Day, Nov. 7. The Orange County Supervisor of Elections Office has a list of all the polling locations and a place where you can find your own.
Orlando City Commissioner Jim Gray, who represents the southeast Orlando area in District 1, is up against two challengers – Tom Keen, an aerospace simulation businessman, and Sunshine Grund, an environmentalist who ran for Orlando mayor in 2015. In District 3, which covers northern Orlando, Commissioner Robert Stuart is competing in the most expensive race against local real-estate attorney Asima Azam. And in District 5, which extends from MetroWest and Parramore to downtown Orlando, Commissioner Regina Hill is up against six other candidates, including Ericka Dunlap, Betty Gelzer, Sarah Elbadri, Jibreel Ali, Cynthia Harris and Ondria James. So far, out of 87,389 potential voters in all three districts, only 5,765 have voted, which is almost 7 percent, according to the Orange County Supervisor of Elections website. Out of those 5,765, more than 5,000 have been vote-by-mail ballots and 594 ballots were cast during early voting days.
