What is it about Florida that makes us so sleepy? Or, more specifically, Floridian college students?
Snack enablers GrubHub did a study of more than 100 colleges in 47 states in order to find out who’s consuming the most coffee. They combed through their order histories to find caffeinated beverages (coffee and energy drinks) ordered by university students during the 2014-2015 academic year.
While Florida didn’t come in at No. 1 on their list of the most caffeinated colleges (that honor went to Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania), it made a crazy strong showing with six schools on the list.
And congrats, UCF; you’re No. 4! Jittery much?
Here’s how Florida’s colleges stack up in the java game:
2. Florida State University
4. University of Central Florida
28. University of Miami
43. Florida International University
44. University of Florida
45. University of South Florida
Here’s the full list of caffeine-crazy colleges.
