We reported with glee in June that new downtown co-working space Catalyst would open a satellite location of Vespr Craft Coffee and Allures on the fifth floor of the the historic Yowell-Duckworth Building.

Now comes word that that other new downtown co-working space, Canvs, will open a satellite location of that other cool coffee spot, Downtown Credo, in the Church Street Exchange building.

Meanwhile, CityArts Factory has had its own little outpost of the revamped Barnies Coffeekitchen for about a year – and we are starting to feel left out. If we could just get a satellite location of Lineage Roasting here at the Orlando Weekly building? (C'mon, please?) Like J-Law and Bill Murray, we ink-stained wretches of print media need our caffeine fix.

But there is a bright spot on the caffeine-in-Mills 50 horizon: Thursday night (Aug. 28) brings another installment of Culture Buzz, the coffee/cocktail fundraiser for the upcoming Florida Coffee Symposium. Order from the menu of cold-brew coffee cocktails at Lil Indies starting at 8 p.m., then head over to Will's for music by DJ Prom Night, Bengali 600, Thought Doctors and Juan Carlos Salazar.
