Check out the latest group of dogs looking for homes at Orange County Animal Services (2769 Conroy Road, 407-396-3111, ocnetpets.com). The shelter is full (shelter management has reported a 74 percent increase in the number of animals being surrendered to the shelter by their owners this summer), so if you’re thinking of adopting a dog, don’t delay! Normal dog-adoption fees are $55, but during the first week of July all cat and dog adoption fees are reduced to $17.76, in honor of Independence Day. The shelter has been very full this year if you’re thinking about adopting, now’s the time to visit OCAS.
