Asheville’s Wednesday merge country, shoegaze and indie rock in soaring and soulful ways that transcend all of those genres. And Philadelphia’s Mannequin Pussy have made one of the most compelling evolutions from an already-good punk act into an excellent indie-rock band that blends noise and melody with swooning results.
Together, they’re quite possibly the most exciting pound-for-pound ticket going right now. Sweetening the pot even more is the addition of opening Nashville punks Snõõper.
