Themes from legendary film composers like John Williams and Hans Zimmer meet the circus this weekend when the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra performs iconic scores while gymnasts flip, twirl and fly right above their heads. The new Cirque de la Symphonie program features music from movie classics such as Star Wars, Harry Potter, Batman, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Mission Impossible – and it wouldn’t be a symphony without music from Titanic. Having studied under Grammy Award-winning maestro Michael Tilson Thomas, Yaniv Segal conducts the orchestra during this one-day event with aerialists, acrobats, contortionists, dancers, jugglers, balancers and strongmen adding visual spectacle.
