The Monroe, a new coffee bar and supper spot in downtown Orlando, announced it will celebrate its grand opening on May 25.
Attendees will enjoy small bites, iced tea and coffee at the inaugural ceremony, where Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and commissioner Regina Hill will also make appearances.
The restaurant, located at 448 N. Terry Ave. in the slowly coalescing Creative Village, will kick off the event at 10 a.m.
The Monroe is filled with decor inspired by Dr. William “Monroe” Wells, a historic figure in Orlando. Just as the walls of the Monroe emanate a historic vibe, Chef Josh Oakley’s very personal and nostalgic menu will transport customers to another time.
