Sriracha lovers will rejoice at Sweet Tomatoes’ new soup offering

If there’s a bottle of rooster sauce in your fridge at all times (and a backup one in the pantry) and you’ve already taken TheOatmeal.com’s quiz, “How Addicted to Sriracha Are You?” and maybe you even donned that red Target screen-printed tee with a green beanie for Halloween this year (essentially turning yourself into a giant bottle of sriracha) and you have a tiny sriracha bottle on your keychain just in case, you might be excited about Sweet Tomatoes’ new soup, available until Dec. 12.

It’s a Sizzling Sriracha Udon Soup, and it really requires some beer to wash down that fiery broth (you’ll have to head across the street to Oblivion Taproom if you’re at the Herndon location – no alcohol at Sweet Tomatoes). 

Noodle lovers will go gaga for the udon: super-thick Japanese noodles with enough surface area to carry that chili oil right to your gullet with effortless efficiency.

The soup is also vegetarian (yay!) and contains enough tofu to fill your protein quotient while you hork down all that rabbit food from the salad bar. 

Sweet Tomatoes has also started a $1 off late-lunch (after 2 p.m.) and late-dinner (after 8 p.m.) offering, so in this case it might help to be running a few hours late for meals.
