Local coffee enterprise Concept Cafes are ready to show off their newest metal-inspired coffee this weekend, and speed is the optimum descriptor for flavor, featured band and venue.

The Orlando-based roasters recently teamed with U.K. metal-punk titans Motörhead to develop their Speedfreak blend. Speedfreak is available in both bags (whole bean, drip, coarse or the recommended espresso powder) and cans of cold brew. This latest collab follows on the heels of Concept releasing coffees inspired by the likes of Cannibal Corpse and GWAR.

Though Motörhead frontman Lemmy is no longer with us, we’d be willing to bet that with his purported enthusiasm for jolts of all types — we’re not telling tales out of school; his autobiography was titled White Line Fever — he’d surely appreciate an eye-opening cold brew or 30.

The theme of speed continues with the venue for Speedfreak’s weekend outing: the grand opening of the new Casselberry Wheel Park West skatepark at 952 N. Winter Park Drive, designed by locals Team Pain.

Said Concept Cafes collectively about the event: “Some of [us] grew up in skate subculture, from the Bones Brigade era through the reign of Flip legends like Rowley & Penny, and now as fans in the present-day era of Street League. There was a time when it was Zorlac caps, Jeff Phillips, & S.O.D. breaking your Walkman; we’re just trying to bring some of that no rules/get back up attitude back into skating with Motörhead’s ‘Speedfreak’.”

Concept Cafes will be at the skate park from (grand) opening at 9 a.m. until it closes. They’ll be slinging nitro cold brew samples and full cans for sale, and giving away merch and a “rare signature Motörhead/Geoff Rowley pro model deck.”
