Emeril’s Tchoup Chop restaurant will close by the end of the year

Celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse’s Asian fusion restaurant is reportedly getting the chop from Universal Orlando.

Emeril’s Tchoup Chop restaurant (located in the Loews Royal Pacific Resort at Universal Orlando) will close on Dec. 31, as reported by Orlando food critic Scott Joseph.

According to Joseph, a Tchoup Chop employee confirmed the restaurant’s closing, though the management team has yet to release an official statement.

The eatery opened in 2003, serving a range of Asian dishes, from sushi to Korean barbecue and Hawaiian-style seafood dishes.

No announcement has been made on a replacement for the restaurant.
