Nothing says "humanitarian crisis at the southern border" like a round of golf, right?

After declaring a national emergency Friday to bypass Congress and get about $8 billion in funding for a border wall on the U.S.-Mexico border, President Donald Trump planned a little weekend getaway at his private Florida resort, Mar-a-Lago.

Trump, who says our national security is currently at risk over the invasion of drugs, human traffickers, criminals and gangs, will be at
Mar-a-Lago by 7 p.m. today, according to his schedule.

Ever conscious of his work-life balance, Trump also made the weekend easier for attorneys planning to sue him over the manufactured crisis by openly admitting there's no emergency.

"I didn’t need to do this," Trump said in a speech at the Rose Garden. "I just want to get it done faster."

The president even generously outlined a legal challenge for them.

"We will have a national emergency, and we will then be sued, and they will sue us in the Ninth Circuit, even though it shouldn't be there," Trump said. "And we will possibly get a bad ruling, and then we'll get another bad ruling, and then we'll end up in the Supreme Court and hopefully we'll get a fair shake, and we'll win in the Supreme Court, just like the ban."

And honestly, it makes sense for Trump to come all the way to Mar-a-Lago – that $50,000 virtual golf simulator he had installed at the White House just isn't enough to cope with a national emergency.
