
It’s Pride Month, which means Orlando and it’s surrounding neighborhoods are filled with love, protest and resilience. While we get loud and proud, we’re also looking back on the 49 lives we lost and the countless others affected for a lifetime as we approach one decade since the Pulse nightclub shooting.
Here are all the ways to show up for your community, wear your heart on your sleeve and show some pride in Orlando this June.
One Magical Weekend
June 4 to 8
This year’s massive One Magical Weekend brings nonstop parties and things to do all weekend at Disney World and several of its surrounding resorts. Pool parties, live DJs, after-hours dancing and much more celebration is in store for the weekend.
Bear Jamboree
June 4 to 8
Lake Buena Vista Resort
One Magical Weekend’s sister event Bear Jamboree takes place through this weekend with even more live entertainment, pool parties, music and more at Lake Buena Vista Resort.
Girls in Wonderland

The country’s premier music and lifestyle festival for queer women, featuring daily concerts, dance parties, pool parties, comedy shows and more at SpringHill Suites by Marriott & TownePlace Suites.
The Pride Cup
June 5 to 7
Hyatt Place Orlando
At The Pride Cup, attendees can compete for the gold in sports such as pickleball, soccer, volleyball, golf, kickball, cornhole, rugby and a Rainbow Run. Those who wish to attend The Pride Cup can register on the KindRED Pride Foundation website. To compete, guests can register as a single competitor or register a full team, depending on the sport. Prices per sport vary.

June 6
Orlando City Hall Plaza
The City of Orlando commemorates those lost during the tragic 2016 Pulse nightclub shooting with this annual 4.9K through downtown. Net proceeds from the event will go toward the upcoming Pulse memorial that is in the works. The run kicks off at 7:30 a.m. and will also include a kids run at 9 a.m. and a CommUNITY celebration festival to wrap up the morning. The run starts at Orlando’s City Hall Plaza.
Prayer Ribbons Memorial Exhibition
June 8 to 14
Orlando City Hall
Ribbons with messages of support for the Pulse tragedy will be displayed in front of City Hall. Since 2016, Jay Critchley with the Provincetown Community Compact in Massachusetts has sent Orlando colorful ribbons with messages of support and the names of the victims woven on for the Orlando community after the tragedy. After 10 years, the organization continues to show support for our community.
Pulse Remembrance Archive
June 10
Live Oak & Magnolia Ballrooms, University of Central Florida
Archival materials from the University of Central Florida’s library and the LGBTQ History Museum of Central Florida will be showcased in the Live Oak and Magnolia ballrooms at UCF. The display offers community members a space to reflect on local LGBTQ+ history ahead of the anniversary of Pulse.
Queer Joy as Resistance

Hope CommUnity Center,
An LGBTQ+ luncheon celebrating Pride Month with a focus on faith, community and the power of “being fully alive.” The gathering will feature a vigil for the 49 lives taken in the Pulse tragedy, wellness resources and opportunities for connection and collective action.
Pulse 10: Baquiné for the Angels

Spirit of Joy Church
This community commemoration hosted by Del Ambiente, a nonprofit serving the Puerto Rican LGBTQ+ community, will be rooted in the Afro-Puerto Rican Baquiné tradition to honor the 49 Pulse victims and the survivors.

Orlando City Hall
This Orange County Regional History Center exhibit honors the Pulse nightclub shooting victims, survivors and all those affected. It features 49 portraits of those who lost their lives. Designed by local artist Jeff Sonksen, the works were completed in 2017 in a paint by number fashion by the victims’ families, friends and Orlando community members. Originally a part of a traveling exhibit, the portraits will now be displayed in City Hall throughout the summer.
Queers for Fears: A Pride Month Horror Burlesque Show

Spooky meets sexy at this horror-themed Pride Month burlesque show that takes place at the Marshall Ellis Performing Arts Center and ME Theatre Orlando.
Day of Remembrance Blood Drive

A blood drive for Pulse Day of Remembrance will take place outside City Hall from 8 a.m.–6 p.m. Orlando residents can reserve donation times at oneblood.org.
Pulse Remembrance Ceremony

First United Methodist Church, 311 S. Magnolia Ave.
The City of Orlando invites the community to an evening of reflection and remembrance, featuring live musical performances from Orlando Gay Chorus and more to be announced. City of Orlando Poet Laureate Camara Gaither will offer a special presentation before the event wraps with a candlelight ceremony for those lost.

A community remembrance event honoring the 49 lives taken in the Pulse tragedy. Descolonizarte Teatro invites community members to share in “community, art and resistance.”
Pulse Memorial Panel

Location revealed upon registration
This memorial panel will commemorate the 10-year anniversary of the Pulse shooting and will be moderated by survivor Brandon Wolf. Discussion will focus on both the successes of and challenges faced by the LGBTQ+ community and gun safety movement in the last decade.
Pride and Proud Pub Crawl

Your ticket to this Pride Month Thornton Park pub crawl will get you drinks or shots, access to two drag shows and a bonus complimentary cocktail at an after party at Anthem. Drink your way through your community. Bars on the list include Thornton Park Pub, Cavo’s, Burton’s, The Outpost, The Dust, World of Beer and Anthem.
The Dru Project: The Final Transmission

A night to honor the legacy of Drew Leinonen and the 49 lives lost in the Pulse tragedy. The show features performances from drag royalty Darcel Stevens, Orusha San Miguel, Allegra De and special guest Sapphira Cristal from RuPaul’s Drag Race.
Femme Forward: The Renaissance A Pride & Juneteenth celebration

This elevated wine night offers a spotlight on Black queer connection with Thai-inspired cocktails and small plates in an intimate setting in downtown Orlando. It’s for those 25 and up.
Love and Liberation: A Boldly Unapologetic Juneteenth Pride Celebration

Come Out with Pride is celebrating Juneteenth this Pride Month with Love and Liberation: A Boldly Unapologetic Juneteenth Pride Celebration at the Central Florida Fairgrounds. The free daytime celebration will take place June 20 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and will highlight the intersection of Black and LGBTQ+ identities, blending Juneteenth’s historical significance with the spirit of Pride Month. The family-friendly event will see Black-owned business vendors, soul food, live music and historical exhibits and educational activities to highlight Juneteenth’s significance. Entry is free and all ages are welcome.
Central Florida Zoo’s LGBTQ+ Sunset at the Zoo

Central Florida Zoo is celebrating Pride Month this year after hours with a colorful nighttime event. The zoo will reopen after its normal closing time at 5:00 p.m. on June 26 for Sunset at the Zoo, which takes place during special evening hours. Guests can expect music, food trucks, interactive animal activities, giraffe feedings and more — rain or shine. Tickets are $6 per person online and $8 at the gate. Online, families can also purchase a $46 “Family 4-Pack” which includes four tickets, four hot dogs and four sodas.
