Day Joy turns the Space into a magical forest for A Walk in the Woods

When Day Joy released Go to Sleep, Mess in 2013, we listened and in a rush of reverb and enchanting pop melodies, immediately felt the loom of trees overhead and were transported to an isolated mind-state, as if the album were written specifically for an introverted adventurer on a walk alone in the woods. Now we’re excited to learn that wooded daydream will be brought to reality at the Space, as the entrance and hallway are cloaked in wilderness decor and imbued with the type of nature sounds many folks use to drift to sleep, but here will lead instead to a two-piece projection show in the main music room that will get a similar tree treatment. On top of that, there’s spoken word and a four-course meal by Before the Table, a local chef using the show’s earthy inspiration to create savory bites for full
sensory overload.
