City lots 9 and 10, which sit beneath I-4 between Pine Street and Washington Avenue, were forever closed on Monday, leaving the motorists who regularly use them to search elsewhere for a parking spot.
The Florida Department of Transportation has suggested three alternate locations for spot-searchers, which include:
-Garland Avenue Lot, 25 S. Garland Ave.
-Jefferson Street Garage, 62 W. Jefferson St.
-Central Boulevard Garage, 55 W. Central Blvd.
A map that illustrates the changes and several ways to reroute your daily commute was put out by the I-4 Ultimate Improvement Project.
The $2.3 billion project will rebuild 21 miles of I-4 from west of Kirkman Road to east of State Road 434 in Seminole County.
The project will reconstruct the roadway, replace 140 bridges and reconfigure 15 major interchanges.
