As we’ve noted before, Orlando is a car-choked hellscape.

Even knowing that it’s the endpoint of years of prioritizing cars over transit and sustainable development, something we’re slowly making progress on, doesn’t make sitting in it any easier.

And even against the exhaust-filled and exhausting background of terrible Orlando traffic all over, there are a few intersections that stand out. Reddit users recently came together to gripe about the worst of the worst.

N. Mills and E. Colonial Orlando is so car-centric that even the gateway to our hipster haven is choked with automobiles. Reddit users were quick to point out both the cramped nature of the streets not built for so much traffic and the user error of people trying to illegally turn left onto Colonial.
W. Fairbanks & S. Orlando Ave While no reason was given for including this intersection in the mix, it did get plenty of upvotes from frustrated drivers.
Maguire Boulevard & E. Colonial Drive One of the few intersections whose problems aren’t traffic-related. This exchange made Reddit’s shitlist for how easily it floods in the rain.
E. Colonial Drive and I-4 When the two most-mentioned roads in the conversation meet, there can’t help but be trouble.
S. Orange Avenue & Michigan Street There was some debate over whether this South Orlando intersection ranked among the worst, but enough people believed so to include it,
Lee Road & I-4 All regular traffic snares tend to be the result of poor planning, and this intersection is more poorly planned than most.
434 & N. Ronald Reagan Boulevard The Sunrail crossing made this already disastrous intersection even worse.
Semoran Boulevard & 50 Even after a year of working from home, the rush hour traffic in this intersection comes for us in our nightmares.
North Hiawassee Road & Clarcona Ocoee Road One of the rare intersections that Redditors noted as actively dangerous, unprotected turns and poor sightlines make this intersection dreadful.
S. Orange Ave. & W. South Street Even if you could name this intersection without sounding like an idiot, it would still be terrible. It’s simply too close to the snarled mass of asphalt that is I-4 and FL-408.
436 & I-4 Speaking of I-4, nobody likes trying to get off on this Altamonte Springs exit.
408 & 436 We’ll let Redditor Badi95 explain: “Why is the intersection between 2 major roads such a mess? 2 lane toll booth becomes 3 lanes, but the leftmost left turn lane can only let a few cars through because there’s no where for them to go because the light at underhill and 436 is red. It’s ridiculous.”
535 & Palm Parkway No explanation is needed to name any intersection in the tourist hell section of Orlando.
Turkey Lake Road & Sand Lake Road Here it is: the terrible confluence against which all others are judged. The consensus pick for worst place to find yourself in Orlando was so obvious that the person who started the discussion attempted to get it out of the way in his initial post. Still, can’t stop people from discussing the OG worst road in a worst road discussion.
