Disney adults are a touchy subject in Orlando, where even the most unlikely person can end up being a life-long devotee of the House of Mouse.

Still, even the staunchest sporters of the Alien (Mickey) Predator stickers on the back of their cars can probably find fault with this pair of Disney lovers. In a recent post to the ever popular Reddit community Am I The Asshole? a recently married bride asked if she and her husband were in the wrong for declining to feed their guests at a Disney wedding.

For the uninitiated, Am I Asshole? is just what it sounds like. Anonymous users post scenarios from their life where they feel like they are not in the wrong, seeking the opinions of strangers on whether or not they acted like an asshole.

The anonymous woman said they decided to opt out of the customary meal in order to pay the several thousands of dollars required for an appearance by Mickey and Minnie Mouse. The bride shared that the Mouse family appeared twice for 30 minutes at a time, at a cost of $2750  per session.

The Reddit thread got so ruthless that it was eventually removed, but that didn’t stop savvy Twitter users from weighing in on the story.

If I went to a wedding like this, I too would be talking shit about it… fuck you mean you’re not providing catering??? At a WEDDING?? pic.twitter.com/12OMKlQogu— Ash (@theashrb) June 5, 2022
I just can’t stop thinking about how it costs $5500 for an hour of Mickey and Minnie’s time at a Disneyland wedding https://t.co/R9cQMTN9MJ— Cody (@codybondarchuk) June 8, 2022

my brain cannot comprehend this, in theory I should be ok with it, but I cannot process it, imagine going to an Indian wedding and there is NO FOOD, there would also be no marriage in fact there would be riots, in fact if it was Haryana there would be gunfire, and about 6 murders https://t.co/KcBqpeMEZR— Shiv Ramdas Traing To Rite Buk (@nameshiv) June 7, 2022

weddings are not about getting free food. weddings are about people in rat costumes, as many as possible. thousands, if you can swing it. rats over cake. rats over fancy clothes. rats over venue. rats over flowers. rats over everything. fill the room with rats. rats in tuxes. ra https://t.co/U4EJxACBTY— Tori Bedford (@Tori_Bedford) June 7, 2022
You go to a wedding for the food, drinking and dancing (and I guess the ceremony 😂). These are bad wedding hosts. https://t.co/z5sBGzLK12— Geoff Schwartz (@geoffschwartz) June 7, 2022
The worst part about this is all the guests had to pretend to be excited to meet Mickey and Minnie, people they know are just adults in a giant mouse costumes, hungry and completely sober. https://t.co/0kYcpQZfER— Lucy Huber (@clhubes) June 7, 2022

Imagine having a destination wedding to Disney World where $5,000 (the entire catering budget) is instead spent on 2 overworked underpaid actors to dress as cartoon mice for photos while telling your guests to just go to a vending machine and then wondering if you’re the asshole. https://t.co/ssi5tiwTQo— 🍑Peach Saliva🍑 (@PeachSaliva) June 6, 2022
They could have just paid me $150 and I would have pretended to be both Mickey and Minnie https://t.co/LMqxV5ohPb— Tasia Bass but the vacation version (@GroovyTasia) June 6, 2022
