Florida Rep. Stephanie Murphy calls for 25th Amendment to be invoked to remove President Trump from office

Another Florida congressperson has called for the 25th Amendment to be invoked to remove President Trump from office. And it is Central Florida’s U.S. house representative Stephanie Murphy, D-Winter Park.

On Thursday afternoon, Murphy posted on her Twitter account that “the President incited a violent insurrection — proof he’s unable to uphold the Constitution.”

“The 25th Amendment should be invoked & the President removed to ensure a peaceful transition of power,” said Murphy.

Murphy, a centrist Democrat who leads the Blue Dog Coalition for the 116th Congress, joins a growing number of members of Congress — including U.S. house leadership — calling for the president to be removed from office via the 25th Amendment.
