An especially rare dome home is on the market in Florida, and it lets you and a friend live together — each in your own dome.

The home, located at 7674 Cactus St. in Keystone Heights, was originally built in 2009 and is categorized as a geodesic dome house, which are formed of interconnected triangular panels.

The home comes with three bedrooms and four baths across 2,631 square feet. The two domes make up “two separate living areas that are conveniently connected,” which the listing says “provides the perfect balance of privacy and togetherness.”

Geodesic dome homes have become increasingly popular not only because of their oddball shape, but because they’re virtually natural-disaster-proof. They’re often designed with extreme weather like flooding and hurricanes in mind and built with fire-proof materials. And with increasingly concerning effects of climate change on the rise, more and more people are looking for a dome home.

The home is currently listed for $399,900 and is being handled by Christopher Snow and Lance Barnett with EXP Realty LLC.
