Can we get a hallelujah!? Idles more than lived up to their reputation as one of the best live bands of the moment with a two-hour set at the House of Blues Tuesday night. Idles were in turn passionate, empathetic, emotional and uplifting. They played the hits, brought a young fan onstage to crowd-surf, and improbably got the crowd singing a few impromptu lines from “All I Want for Christmas Is You.” D.C. punks Ekko Astral opened the night with a tense set of “mascara mosh pit” anthems.
