A reminder: It’s OK to disengage from the table chat amongst friends to look down and Shazam what’s playing above. Something nostalgic, but we couldn’t figure it out. We gave up trying and just remained audibly curious for a few years. Then Narrow Head released the album Moments of Clarity and we thought, “Damn it, assholes! You done it again … but even better.” Clever project; proper noise. Emotive, with a therapist standing by for the infectious chorus tears and those who took a Doc Marten heel to the dome.
All this is to say that Narrow Head played the Abbey Wednesday with Graham Hunt — if Pavement, The Eels and Everclear had a baby — and future-forward hyper-pop icon Stripmallravestarrr. Here are some glimpses.
