Modest Mouse chose Orlando for the first date of their latest tour, and the indie-rock faithful showed out and showed up, in droves. The Monday evening show at Disney Springs was a sold-out, packed and sweaty affair. You would never guess it was opening night — no jitters or ring-rust were in evidence — as Isaac Brock and crew were a well-oiled machine, blazing through a 19-song, two-hour set. The audience lost their collective shit over the inevitable “Float On” but also anthems like “Bukowski” and “Dashboard.” Doug Martsch of Built to Spill (and Treepeople, there, we said it) opened the evening in stripped-down acoustic mode.
