Volume 2 went down Monday night at Will’s Pub, a heady mix of drag, DJ sets, live music and local artisans. Subtitled “I’m So Bored With the U.S.A.” — an apropos Clash reference, since the event coincided with the unlucky anniversary of “Insurrection Day” — this installment of Volume was a night of resistance-through-community with drag performers Davi Oddity, Zade Black, Anesthesia, Galactica, Adi Love and Chloeform Cocktail interpreting songs by everyone from the Runaways to Amyl and the Sniffers. Elsewhere you had DJ Hexorcist spinning and queer-punks Stiletto setting the room alight with sonic rage. All told, it was a rejuvenating night of togetherness and adventurous art.
